The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Romania Foundation was chosen to host the Global Award Forum that will take place in Cluj Napoca in 2022. The event takes place every 3 years and brings together supporters and world leaders in the field of education and youth from over 130 countries.
HRH Prince Edward, Count of Wessex, with the President of the Award in Ghana, the host of the Award Forum this year, presented the Global Forum Bastion to Shajjad Rizvi MBE, Chair of the Award Foundation in Romania.
At the heart of the Forum hosted next year are young people, and the present Royal Houses will emphasize the importance of the culture, education and youth development as a whole, the topics addressed will be youth employment, integration of young people from placement centers and of young people from re-education and detention centers, job creation, mental health, as well as other key issues that address the real challenges young people face during this period. We want to celebrate the Romanian youth, so with that in mind we will organize a global debate of young people, broadcast globally through the BBC, as well as a Youth Gala.
