About us
We believe that not all learning happens in the classroom. In fact we believe that some of life’s biggest lessons happen in the least likely locations. This is how our framework helps young people discover a talent, trait or passion at which they can excel, giving them the confidence to take their future in stride.
The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award (Award) is a global framework for non-formal education and learning, which challenges young people between the ages of 14 and 24 to dream big, celebrate their achievements and make a difference in their world.
Who can provide the Award?
The Award program can be provided by a wide range of state and independent schools, universities, youth organizations, sport clubs, re-educational centers and penitentiaries, municipality, companies and other institutions working with young people.

Patron
