At DofE Romania, we believe that for a young person to reach their full potential, they need the support of an entire community. The Award programme is not just about challenges and personal development – it is also about dedicated people, clear structures, and safe practices that create an environment where every participant is protected, encouraged, and respected.

Our mission is to provide all young people in Romania with access to opportunities that develop their confidence, resilience, and life skills. Through mentors, volunteers, partner centres, and local networks, we build the “village” of support each young person needs to grow and succeed.

Safeguarding is the cornerstone of this community, ensuring that all activities take place in a safe and inclusive environment. Everything we do promotes respect, diversity, and mutual support. We also protect the wellbeing of participants, staff, and volunteers through clear policies and procedures.
