Power of Now

Power of NOW is a concept-event dedicated to young people and beyond organized by The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Romania in partnership with leading educational organizations and top companies in Romania. Designed to inspire and support both personal and professional development, the event brings together curious young minds, leaders from diverse industries, and organizations that champion innovation, authenticity, and growth.

Launched in 2023, Power of NOW quickly became a relevant platform for dialogue and discovery. In an interactive and energizing setting, young participants explore essential topics shaping their future: the future of work, creativity, success, community, wellbeing, and social impact.

The Power of NOW stage is vibrant, dynamic, and open and every speaker, whether from IT, entrepreneurship, fashion, sport, journalism, or civic engagement, shares an authentic and meaningful story capable of sparking the beginning of something new.

Power of NOW Organizing Team

The event is organized exclusively by volunteers – dedicated and passionate young people and adults from the Award community and partner organizations such as Academia 1,61, Romanian Angel Appeal, International House Bucharest, BusinessMark, and Brightway.

The atmosphere is vibrant and welcoming, and the interaction with speakers, NGOS, and company stands transforms each edition into a memorable, hands- on experience.

At the most recent edition, held in April 2025 at Romanian-American University, over 300 young people participated in sessions on topics such as:
Creativity Wins the World, Future of Work, Wellbeing & Self-Care, Change Is Constant, On Power and Success, The Innovation Game.
Power of NOW is not just an event, it is a growing community. It is a space where young people find role models, express their ideas, and learn to shape their own paths — at their own pace and with the right support.
