Carmen Dragomir is the foundation’s programme manager. In this role, she supports the national expansion of the programme, strengthens relationships with Award Centres, and provides direct support for its delivery, ensuring it is adapted to the specific context and needs of each centre.
She also offers hands-on support to the adults involved — Leaders, Managers, Supervisors and Assessors — through training courses and resources that help them deliver the programme in line with international standards.
A key part of her work is coordinating the Adventurous Journey section, where she ensures that expeditions are planned and carried out safely, giving young people the opportunity to explore nature, work as a team and push beyond their limits.
With a background in management and human resources, more than ten years of experience in non-formal education, and a genuine passion for positive change, Carmen combines strategic vision with practical experience in management, training and event organisation. On a personal level, she loves hiking and discovering authentic places, drawing inspiration from traditions, culture and the people she works alongside.
