Her Majesty Margaret the Crown Custodian hosted an evening dedicated to The Duke of Edinburgh’s International Award Romania Foundation on Tuesday, October 29, 2019, in the Hall of Kings at Elizabeth Palace.
The evening was given the opportunity to award certificates of recognition to young people who have completed the gold level of the Award program. The 12 young people from Brașov, Bucharest, Cluj Napoca, Turda and Ploiești were awarded for their progress by going through the 4 sections of the program: volunteering, personal skills, physical activities, adventure, plus the residential project.
A moving moment was attended by the Ambassador of Great Britain, His Excellency Mr. Andrew Noble, together with Mr. Shajjad Rizvi MBE, the President of the Foundation, Mr. Charlie Crocker and Mrs. Christina Verchere and over 60 representatives of public and private space, sponsors and partners, as well as family members, leaders, supervisors and award evaluators, wonderful people without whom the Award program could not be offered to young people.
